We're proud to share our newest program, Marine Professions: Fisheries, Tourism & Innovation! This hands-on program equips students with the knowledge, certifications, and experience needed to pursue real-world opportunities in ocean-based industries in our coastal community.

What Students Will Learn
Students in this program will gain valuable, career-ready skills through:

Industry-recognized certifications and local partnerships
Boat simulator training and on-the-water learning
Coursework in fisheries, aquaculture, and ocean technology
Coastal tourism and hospitality career pathways
Exposure to marine trades and innovation-based skills

Building on Existing Strengths
Narragansett High School already offers a popular boating safety course where many students have earned official certifications, as well as an introduction to marine technology course. This new program builds on that momentum and opens the door to more advanced opportunities in marine careers.
